Rabbit Awareness Week (18-26 June 2016)

RAW1

Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW) 2016 is running from Saturday, 18 to Sunday, 26 June. The theme this year is companionship. We are keen to encourage people to rehome abandoned rabbits rather than buy so we decided to give you the opportunity to learn lots about them and see if you can be tempted to adopt. Have a look at this website: http://www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk

As a branch we are happy to offer free neutering for all rabbits owned by people on qualifying benefits in our branch area.

SPONSOR A CAT PEN

Cat inpen

Our supporters often ask how they can help contribute further to the care of our rescue cats. With this in mind we have introduced our Sponsor a Pen scheme to enable supporters to see their money in action.

We have an increasing number of animals on our list waiting to come in to our care. As we strive to give each animal the best quality of life possible as well as the best chance of being rehomed, our costs for veterinary treatment and day to day care in our cattery and foster homes, continue to increase. By sponsoring a cat pen you would be helping to ensure that we have the funds to care for all the animals whilst they wait to find their forever homes - for as long as it takes.

We would like to suggest an amount of £5 a month - that’s just 16p a day - or a one off or annual payment of £60. Ultimately whatever amount you choose to donate will be appreciated and used in full for our rescue animals .

This is a fantastic way to show your support as these funds make a huge difference to our everyday work and help us to meet the physical, emotional and environmental needs of the animals in our care.  You can donate money for this essential support activity by following this link: https://mydonate.bt.com/donation/start.html?charity=68649

ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY, WHATEVER YOU CAN SPARE, WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED

OUR AMAZON WISH LIST

News1

For those of you who would like to help us, we have set up our own Amazon Wish List of cat supplies that we are always in need of for our rescued cats and kittens.  We’re calling this our AmazonCAT-alogue”!

During any one year we usually rescue and re-home more than 160 cats and kittens and they are all cared for either in a local privately run cattery where we have the use of self-contained pens, or in the case of kittens, mother cats and older moggies, cared for on our behalf by cat fosterers in their own homes.  This all costs a lot of money – around £7 per day for every cat boarded in the cattery, and £2.50 per day for food and litter for cats in foster homes.  In addition there are the veterinary costs of vaccinations, neutering and microchipping plus other treatments which may be necessary.

Donations from the “CAT-alogue” Wish List will enable us to give the cats a few of the extras they deserve and whatever we receive – no matter how small – all helps to give them a happy and healthy transition to their new forever homes.

If you wish to donate an item…

Please click here which will take you directly to our “CAT-alogue” Wish List on Amazon and then you can select which item you would like to buy for us.  There’s plenty to choose from – in a whole range of prices to suit every pocket.  Whatever we receive will be very much appreciated and without doubt, our cats will be grateful!

If you cannot find our Wish List through the link, you can go to the main Amazon website - www.amazon.co.uk - and under ‘Find a Wish List’ search for “RSPCA”.  In the location box type “Crondall” or “Farnham” and click “Find It” and that should take you straight there.

In order to show our thanks and appreciation for the gifts we receive we will frequently post photos of what we’ve been given, together with a personal thank you to the donor on our Facebook site here.
