Rehoming
Rehoming is a vital part of the work we do in our Branch area. We accept cats and kittens from the RSPCA Inspectorate and members of the public who elect to sign their pets over to us.
These pets then join one of our fosterers who care for them in their own home or they are taken into our local privately run cattery where they are cared for until we can find them suitable new homes.
This branch covers the cost of vaccinations and, if necessary, neutering and micro-chipping. For kittens too young to be neutered, microchipped or vaccinated, we provide these procedures once they are old enough and this is included in the adoption fee. Anyone wishing to adopt a kitten must be prepared to have them neutered as soon as they are old enough.
This page contains details of some of the pets we currently have available for adoption. Whilst every effort is made to ensure this site is kept updated, there can be a delay so it is always worth telephoning us on 07880 547502 or emailing rehoming@rspcahantsandsurreyborder.org.uk to check on the latest pets available for rehoming.
| CATS AVAILABLE FOR REHOMING | (updated 11 February 2012) |
| Bosco – 10 years + white & black female. An affectionate and cuddly cat she is unsettled by young children and other animals and just needs the peace and quiet of a comfortable home with plenty of love and attention. Would make a loving companion. Despite her ‘middle’ years and the fact she is missing both ears now (since the photo was taken), she is fit and well, having been thoroughly vet checked. | |
| Heidi – 5 - 6 month old semi feral female. Very pretty colouring, bright, healthy and clean. Loves other cats but is very shy with humans and doesn't like strange/loud noises. She will need a caring and patient home without children. When she feels safe she will let you stroke her and she will purr. She would make a wonderful pet for someone who understands her fears and will give her time and the space to find her self confidence. Would enjoy an experienced cat household with other friendly pets and the patience to encourage her to trust. | |
| Missy – 3 yr old tabby female. Shy and quiet. Will tolerate attention and is gradually becoming more relaxed. Would enjoy a quiet home as the only pet. FOR VIDEO FOOTAGE CLICK HERE. | |
| Bugs is a 4 year old Bengal male cat looking for a new home. He is micro chipped, neutered and he has annual booster vaccinations. Bugs is in great health, very playful and inquisitive, loves a cuddle and cuddles back. Once he is settled and familiar with a new home he will make a very loving companion and a playful friend. He is somewhat vocal and loves a chat and will thrive with plenty of love and attention. He would prefer a home as the only pet and without young children. | |
